First is Alex Cross (2012). Directed by Rob Cohen and starring Tyler Perry, this film took the shooting location in the Karangasem and Nusa Lembongan areas. Remember those places?
Well Alex Cross is an action-thriller film based on series novel by James Patterso who told the stories of a detective in the city of Detroit who was assigned to investigate the death of a girl named Fan Yau (Stephanie Jacobsen) who was tortured before being killed.
Not only as a detective but he is also a Doctor in psychology and forensics. Feeling blocked by Cross and his friends, “the butcher” (Matthew Fox) takes revenge by killing Cross’s colleagues Monica and Maria, Cross’s wife. For you who loves car chasing and bullet scene, this might be the one for you.
Second is Toute la Beauté du Monde (All the Beauty of The World), a French film which took the filming location on the area of Mount Batukaru, the second highest mountain in Bali after Mount Agung.
It tells the story of Franck and Tina. Tina was having a nervous breakdown when the man of her life has just died. During her journey to Asia, where Tina attempts rediscover her zest of life, she met Franck, who slowly becomes indispensable as a guide, travel companion, and soon a friend… Will Tina eventually fall in love with him? Third one, and the most popular one, is Eat, Pray, Love (2010). This movie, starring Julia Roberts is certainly familiar to your ears, right? Moreover, when you realize that one of the scenes took place in Ubud, Tampaksiring, and Padang-padang.
The Indonesian award-winning actress, Christine Hakim took part in it. This film tells Liz who feel unhappy despite having a house, as well as a good career. After her divorce, she explored several countries to find happiness.
